Victorian Hotel Reviews

5 of 5 starsReviewed todayNEW

Lovely old building, lovingly restored. Rooms are simple, spacious and elegant. And resonably priced. The staff couldn't be nicer and more helpful. The location is perfect - a couple of blocks to Gastown, downtown and Yaletown. The rooms facing the street may get some traffic noise, but it's manageable.

My wife and I took a risk, having never visited Vancouver and having no idea of where to stay. We stayed at the Victorian for a night and then after a cruise and returning to Vancouver, decided to stay two more nights there. We absolutely loved this place! It has a beautiful vintage vibe and is a very relaxing atmosphere. The location is perfect! Within walking distance to the port and other exciting places downtown. Stay here and you will love it!

I almost switched hotels at the last minute after seeing several recent reviews that were negative about the neighborhood. I'm so glad I ignored those reviews though because we had a great experience here! We booked several rooms to accommodate my relatives, and everyone loved it. It was nice to find a more affordable option in Vancouver that still fit the various needs of my family members. It worked out well because those on tighter budgets chose the shared bathroom option, while those who wanted private bathrooms, etc. were able to select upgraded options. The beds and pillows were so comfortable-- everyone in my family is still raving about how great they are. One of my family members was worried at the lack of air conditioning, but later told me that he was totally fine without it because Vancouver cools down so much in the evening. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the photos, read the reviews and booked in to a standard King room with ensuite. The room was charming the bed was very comfortable. Great atmosphere, very clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was handy to the waterfront and close to a large shopping mall. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Value for money.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor unit towards the back so very quiet and no stair case to climb.

We stayed in a standard king room with a private bathroom across the hall. The room was comfortable and very clean, with an excellent bed with fabulous bedding. Despite facing Homer Street the room was quiet (with the windows closed), and we slept well.
The room, as with much of the hotel, is full of character; instead of bland Ikea-style furnishings in the room we had an eclectic mix of old furnishings.
The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to the Downtown shops and the bars and restaurants of Central
A basic but tasty breakfast was offered, fresh french bread, cereal, juice and coffee.
Both check-in and check-out were handled so quickly and efficiently that it left me flabbergasted as to why it ever needs to take as long as it does at every single other hotel I have stayed at.
