What could be better then being treated for a weekend? […] My mom and I recently had a lovely stay at the Victorian Hotel in Vancouver. The Victorian Hotel is a quaint boutique hotel in downtown Vancouver. […] A hotel’s location is very important when picking where to stay. We were in a great spot […] my mom and I were able to walk everywhere and enjoy the beautiful city. […] I just love the beautiful antique furniture in the guest rooms and the bed was perfect to fall into after a long day. All the bathrooms have been recently renovated. […] The breakfast room was so cute and the fresh baked bread and croissants from a local bakery were delicious. […] if you need a Hotel in Vancouver for a peaceful weekend check out the Victorian Hotel! Wishing you all a wonderful day!
If you want a predictable chain hotel experience, this may not be the place for you. If however, you want a spotless room with quirky charm and a breakfast experience that you might find in family hotels in Europe – (stocked with really good croissants, fresh fruit etc,) than you’ll like it here. No, there is no elevator, but the friendly staff carried my bag up to the third floor for me (minus any bell-hop hoity toity airs). This is my go-to Vancouver hotel. Other plusses? Location – steps to Gastown and price.
Very cute hotel with friendly staff. The bathrooms are shared but there were plenty on each floor. I never had to wait to get into a bathroom to shower. The location is great, right next to Gas Town. Plenty of restaurants around to go to. There wasn’t an elevator but they carried our bags up for us.
The Victorian was the perfect little place for my boyfriend and I to stay before our long trip to Vancouver island. Rooms were quaint and clean, shared bathrooms were spotless. We never had a problem getting into a bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was very easy, 15 bucks for 24 hours close by in a garage. Staff held our bags after check out while we explored the city. Thank you for an awesome experience, will definitely be back next time we visit Vancouver.
Charming older hotel. Was a little worried about no A/C and sharing bathrooms, but neither was a problem. Actually had 2 1/2 bathrooms steps away that several rooms shared, and I never had to wait. Fan and open windows kept room cool, although nights were somewhat noisy. Location is in walking distance of transit station and lots of restaurants. Enjoyed breakfasts, but wish they’d had a little more variety. Staff was helpful providing directions and advice.
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Victorian. It is a unique and charming building with a lot of the original fixtures still intact. The rooms are smaller than you would find at a traditional hotel, but that is bearing in mind that the building is very old. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are affordable. The Victorian is within walking distance of a lot of places you might want to go, but somehow manages to be in a quiet area. I recommend it to anybody that wants a good place to stay in Vancouver and isn’t looking to pay a luxury price.
My partner and I stayed for one night at the Victorian Hotel as we were getting set to depart on a two week cycling trip. We arrived on July 20th straight from the airport with our bikes needing to be put back together after being disassembled for travelling. The staff at the Victorian Hotel were very accommodating and gave us a large space in the basement to put the bikes back together. After that was all said and done we were able to store our bike bags at no extra cost until our return over 2 weeks later. After a great bicycle trip, we returned to the Victorian and enjoyed 2 days in the city. The hotel is close walking distance to everywhere downtown. On the day we were leaving our flight wasn’t until the evening and we were able to leave our suitcases and bike bags at the hotel. We both loved the Victorian Hotel and would surely stay here again. The staff was very friendly and always went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I felt as though the staff truly liked helping us. Thank you for an awesome stay.
