We had a newly renovated King on the second floor, large corner room.Bed was very comfortable and I have just asked who made their pillows…I am sold they were so comfortable. The croissant at breakfast were especially delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Victorian Hotel. Super comfortable bed, antique side tables, and a nice, clean, pared down decorating scheme.Very relaxing. The rooms aren’t huge, but the 15 ft ceilings make them feel expansive. Wood floors and chandeliers feel elegant. Bathrooms are shared but I never had to wait for one. There is no gym but the Wifi was excellent! My only suggestion would be for a nicer breakfast. The bread was good, but it was otherwise pretty generic, with bought in bulk croissants, canned fruit, and one kind of cereal. I ended up just taking coffee (pretty good) to go and getting breakfast elsewhere. They should add some cheese or yogurt and nicer cereals and fresh fruit. Note: There is a really good hole in the wall restaurant two blocks down, at the bottom of Homer Street. Otherwise restaurants in the area are either mediocre or overpriced.
That said though, I will definitely stay again if I’m ever back in Vancouver.
This hotel was such a pleasure to stay in…with its Victorian Architecture and furnishings…but modern amentities. We took the Superior King Size Room so we could have our own private bath, and the room was very clean and decorated beautifully with everything we needed. The room was very quiet and peaceful. The parking lot was already full, BUT the hotel staff gave us a passcode to use the public parking structure just 2 blocks away, which was very convenient and reasonable. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all our inquires and the hotel is situated not far from the GasTown neighborhood. We were able to walk down into the historic district everyday and enjoy good restaurants, shopping and even took a bus tour. This hotel was in the perfect location if you want to park your car and go explore Vancouver. We had the Best time and the enjoyed the comforts of the hotel and the friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is planning to visit the Vancouver area and wants to stay at a unique hotel with all the modern conveniences. What a pleasure!
Room Tip: The room we had was very quiet and peaceful down one of the inside corridors on the 2nd floor
Wonderful Victorian-style hotel right in the middle of everything in Vancouver….only a few blocks to all the great places….and the staff is amazing, very helpful, especially Brian, the manager – this was a great hotel stay, and we’ll be back for sure!
We wanted to stay somewhere downtown that was inexpensive and close to the waterfront. Not always a easy task! But we did it!!
The Victorian Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was roomy, elegant & very clean.
The bathroom had nice deep bathtub nice for soaking in after walking around seeing the sights.
Beds were comfy, pillows were luxurious. They was no AC but did have a good size fan and the windows open.
They had a nice continental breakfast in the morning.
If you want excellence value for the location of this Hotel you won’t be disappointed.
