If you’re looking for a relaxed hike with a scenic view of Vancouver, this is the right hike for you! Explore through dense forest, wooden bridges, and make your way to the top of the rock surface for a gorgeous view of Deep Cove and Indian Arm. While there are steep and rocky areas throughout the trail, this can be completed by any level of hiker. You can stop by at Honey’s Doughnuts for a delicious bite after your hike, or you can even buy one before to enjoy while looking out at the view!

- Dog Mountain
Where: Seymour Provincial Park (25 minutes from downtown Vancouver)

Duration: 1.5-2 hours

At the top of Dog Mountain, you’ll find yourself looking out at a stunning view of Metro Vancouver. Whether you are looking out at the view with clear skies during the day, or at the striking sparking city of Vancouver at night, this view will amaze you. - St Mark’s Summit
Where: Cypress Provincial Park (20 minutes from downtown Vancouver)
Length: 11 km round trip
Duration: 4-5 hours
Difficulty: Moderate
Distance from the Victorian Hotel: 36 km
Once you’ve made it to the top, this hike will offer you an amazing view of Howe Sound, even if there is a bit of overcast. The hike starts off a bit steep and rocky before you head into a forest, then you’ll continue on the trail before gaining some elevation over a steep set of switchbacks. Eventually, the forest will thin out and you will reach the top of St. Mark’s Summit.

- Eagle Bluffs

This trail starts with gruelling hike towards Cabin Lake. On a warm sunny day, you can jump into the water and cool off. Keep hiking along the Baden-Powell Trail, until you reach a series of rocks along the bluffs. As this hike is a bit more difficult, you should ensure that you wear proper hiking attire, which includes appropriate shoes and to dress according to the weather.

- Grouse Grind
Where: Grouse Mountain Regional Park (20 minutes from downtown Vancouver)
Length: 2.9 km
Duration: 1-2 hours

The Grouse Grind is one of the most well-known hikes in Vancouver. This hike consists of mainly a staircase up to the mountain, over 2,800 steps. Once you reach the top, you will see a panoramic view of Vancouver. While you are at the top, you can visit a grizzly bear refuge and even treat yourself to a well-deserved Beavertail as a snack. As the Grind is a one way trail up, you will have to take the gondola back down to the bottom. For the more experienced hiker, there is an official Grind Timer, where you can try to beat the record of 25 minutes and 1 second.
