  1. 5 Hikes Near the Victorian Hotel

Where: Grouse Mountain Regional Park (20 minutes from downtown Vancouver)

Length: 2.9 km

Duration: 1-2 hours

Difficulty: Challenging

Distance from the Victorian Hotel: 15 km

The Grouse Grind is one of the most well-known hikes in Vancouver. This hike consists of mainly a staircase up to the mountain, over 2,800 steps. Once you reach the top, you will see a panoramic view of Vancouver. While you are at the top, you can visit a grizzly bear refuge and even treat yourself to a well-deserved Beavertail as a snack. As the Grind is a one way trail up, you will have to take the gondola back down to the bottom. For the more experienced hiker, there is an official Grind Timer, where you can try to beat the record of 25 minutes and 1 second.
